Work Safely Mobile Testing was founded in Northeast Pennsylvania to take the waiting room out of drug and alcohol testing. Ten years on, that is still the whole idea.
How it started
Michael Baldwin started Work Safely Mobile Testing in December 2015 in the Scranton and Wilkes-Barre area with a simple goal: DOT and non-DOT drug and alcohol testing available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, at the customer's location.
The problem he set out to fix was familiar to every fleet manager and HR lead in the region. Sending an employee to a clinic meant a lost half day, a supervisor's time, and a waiting room that could stretch for hours. Testing at home for a family was even harder to arrange.
The answer was a collector who comes to you, in an unbranded personal vehicle, dressed for the setting, at whatever hour the need arises. From one collector in Lackawanna County, Work Safely has grown to serve Northeast Pennsylvania, the Hudson Valley, Binghamton, Syracuse, New Jersey and Connecticut.
