EtG alcohol testing
A breath test shows alcohol in the body right now. An EtG test looks for ethyl glucuronide, a metabolite that stays in urine for roughly 80 hours after drinking, so it can show use over the past few days.
EtG is the usual choice for court-ordered monitoring, treatment and recovery programs, custody matters and zero-tolerance workplace policies.
EtG is a lab-based test collected under chain of custody, with negatives typically reported in 1 to 3 days and positives in 5 to 10 days.
